Some years ago, I was watching classic videos of the great tent revivals and healing crusades of evangelists like Oral Roberts and A. A. Allen. I found myself longing and wishing for the days of old.
Frankly, I felt frustrated. I had grown up in the church, and every time there was a great move of God, a revival, an outpouring, or even just a great youth camp, somebody would always get up and say, “You haven’t seen anything yet. Something greater is coming …”
In prayer I even said to God, “Why didn’t you let me be born back then?” But then I felt the Lord check me.
He said to me, “I didn’t need you then, I need you NOW! Why are you relegating My power to yesterday? Am I not the same yesterday, today, and forever?”
And that is when I understood that revival is not coming. Revival is HERE!
Furthermore, God does not want us to merely be revival CHASERS. He has called us to be RevivalMAKERS!
